Front forks reflectors removed
« on: June 27, 2020, 11:43:06 AM »
Finally, after only three years, Ive removed the fugley reflectors. Twenty minutes with a heat gun, old credit card and WD40 and they are history. The front end looks so much nicer now  :002:

Good idea.
But what are the options if you don't possess a heat gun?

Simples..... borrow your wifes hairdryer  :169:.... but don't tell her or you'll be in trouble  :005:  :192:

Dental floss works fine also..... just use it like a cable saw passing it under the reflector, "cutting" thru the glue

I'm not offended by the reflectors tbh. They are certainly better than some other bikes. I guess I haven't removed mine as I used to ride into London during rush hour in the dark, so they may have been useful.

However, now Covid has put an end to having to ride into London for work and I'm working from home.... I guess the reflectors are no longer that useful  :084:

I was thinking of doing the same but I'm not sure if they're a legal requirement now (like a rear reflector is). The internet is undecided.
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.
