New Bike
« on: October 12, 2020, 11:30:03 AM »
As mentioned, on another post. I have finally taken the plunge and bought my first brand new bike since 1985. I previously had a 2017 1200 DVT for a year and had a problem that cost a lot of money and I lost confidence in the bike. So I sold it and paid my mortgage off  :001:.
Over the next few months I saved up and rode around on my old 93 monster whilst I decided what to buy next, waiting for a good deal later in the year. Anyhoo, I got a good deal on a new 950 with 4 years warranty and breakdown cover. and picked it up on Saturday. Luckily I kept most of my kit from the 1200 and only specified heated grips as extras. I spent a couple of hours on Sunday fitting all the bits. 200 miles on the clock already.
Here she is:

Looks good. Are you going to get matching red covers for the cases? 😎

I might do, however they get used very little so I'm not too bothered. I got them half price from a dealer who took them off a new bike to fit tin boxes. They look ok with my trekker topbox too
