Scotland Tour
« on: May 14, 2017, 04:36:59 PM »
We set off today for a 2 week tour of Scotland, so this is a photo taken just before we set off

A couple more mods - firstly the stock screen has been replaced with a Givi D7406ST - and what a difference - so much quieter and free of buffeting - I could  ride at motorway speeds with my visor up, and not really notice. Also, averaged over 65mpg, and pretty sure the screen's contributed to that.

I've also 'lashed' up a phone holder pending delivery of the Ducati sat nav mount - bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182503876395?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=485082468836&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT on eBay which clamps quite neatly on the screen adjuster (with a bit a packing) and then bolted this

Anyway, I'll be posting more photos/updates  of the trip as we go - hopefully not too much rain or midge swarms😊

Here are some more photos or the tour - I'm so pleased with my bike, comfy to ride all day, secure in the bad weather we rode through, and effortlessly fast and agile when wanted - and handling my luggage with ease! The only thing I'd like to change would be to add the rear mudguard from the 1200s which kept my partner's bike much cleaner than mine

It's not just the mudguard off the other bike you need....it's the red paint work too  :305:

Great pics by the way

Get pictures as Murf46 said, and the red ones don't show how dirty they get so we don't need huggers :305:

That made me laugh out loud!  :745:

Thing is though, I'm so happy and secure in my choice of white that I don't get too worried about it - whereas those with red bikes seem so concerned it's almost like an inferiority complex !

Regardless of the colour, it's a great bike  :002:

I luv the banter on this forum all good fun, Are you going up the west coast and following the lochs to the top and then moving down the other side.
