Optimate lead
« on: June 24, 2017, 06:50:25 PM »
Any suggestions for a discrete location for an Optimate lead? I'd rather not remove the pillion seat every time if possible.

Hi Neilb. Got good news for you. Its already fitted as standard on the 950 Multistrada. You don't even need to remove the seat.
Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

Its located next to the rear shock.

Are you sure? I fitted my own, really easy actually and have tied the end to the RHS pillon foot peg bracket so it's out of the way and perfect place without removing the seat.

I've had a look around my rear shock and can't see where it is??
Any photos wassers. At least if I do find it I will have a spare 😂😂

Just saw this thread and although I have not looked at the bike yet there is mention on a charging connector under the seat (for the Ducati battery charger - but may be suitable for the Optimate ? ) Page 248 of the owners manual refers

Thanks, buzzardbilly. I saw that in the book but all I could see under the seat was a large connector labelled Diagnostics. Nothing resembling a charger connector.
