Mod to remove throttle slack
« on: March 08, 2018, 10:46:52 PM »
Saw this video from TheMissendenFlyer and it caught my attention. It's about a kit to remove the throttle slack that can make the bike feel a bit jerky at slow speeds but it's  :172: expensive, $37 + $7 for shipping  :232:
Turns out the throttle assembly is the same on our MTS so I took it apart to take measurements and designed and 3D printed my own. It came out pretty well and the slack is completely gone

The weather is finally good so I will test it on the weekend and report back

Nice mod! Please update us with how your test ride turned out.  I'm interested in this because I installed the throttle spacer mod in my Panigale 959 and it changed the throttle response of the bike.  I loved the response and characteristic that the mod made.  I'm hoping that it might be the same experience with the Multi 950.

So the mod works great, the throttle is now much more predictable specially at low speed both out of corners or maneuvering in the parking lot or through slow traffic. totally worth it  :305:

aksdman, you have a Czech flag on your profile, are you somewhere near Prague?

So tozes, when are you going into production with these?

I see you are in Prague, one of the places on my list to visit. You never know, I might just drop by to pick one up from you  :152:

No plans for production but if there's enough interest I can try to come up with something

Anyway if anyone comes to Prague and wants to pick up a set, by all means! :821:

Tozes, what's involved in removing the throttle? Is it an easy job?
