Introduction.
« on: May 11, 2018, 05:17:43 PM »
Hi Guys, Newbie from Gwent, South Wales. Purchased bike last September, traded in my Ducati MTS 1200S with 18000miles on. Very pleased with new bike, a lot smoother than the 1200, all be less grunt, but suits me.
Anybody out there from the Gwent area?
Attempted to fit Garmin GPS yesterday, found integral connection, however no flying wires to connect to my Garmin harness, just a capped connecter. How do you connect the two Garmin wires? Please help, I'm just a novice with electricals.
Off to Spain in two weeks and would like my Sat Nav hopefully up and running.
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Welcome. I found easiest way was to remove the existing blank, buy these http://kojaycat.co.uk/epages/950000457.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950000457/Products/DUC-WHT-PIGTAILS and connect these to Garmin lead. Make sure you leave any existing power supplies to the Garmin and plug into supplied connector.

Thanks for your reply Lambert very helpful and sounds straight forward.
So all I need to do is connect the pigtail to the two wires on the garmin harness and plug into integral connector on bike. Once again sorry for my stupidity but I am a complete novice in these matters.

If I knew what I was doing I would probably stop doing it.
