Corbin Seat Configurator
« on: July 10, 2018, 05:00:33 AM »
Seat maker Corbin has a neat tool for designing a custom seat for the 950: http://www.corbin.com/ducati/dmulti95017.shtml

Click on the "Order" box, and once the configurator is installed, click on the "Design It" box. Then, have at it. The seat options are shown using the white model 950 only. After some fun tries, here's what worked best for me:

(Options used: Grey leather seat, white vinyl sides, Stone Grey welting/piping, red stitching and grey logo.)

For the red version 950, some imagination is required to visualize what it would look like. White vinyl was replaced with "Tomato Red" for the sides. Everything else was left the same.

I like the way the use of bike colour on the sides creates a body that continues from front to back; converting the bike to more sport-tourer, less adventure style.

As a kicker, there is no premium on the Corbin seat for the various options. Cost ex shipping: $473.00US.

I used the configurator to pick out my seat, I was worried about white picking up dirt or stains though. I look forward to putting it on and doing some miles!

Wow that looks really plush, more like a cruiser than an adventure bike  :029:

I'd be interested to know what difference it makes. It looks a bit lower  :086:
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

If you compare those pics with that of a standard bike the seat actually looks higher to me.
