« on: November 02, 2018, 09:24:47 PM »
If anyone is thinking of doing a Euro tour first half of next year let me know & if might tag along as I’m looking to do it but don’t wanna go on my own
If I had a second brain cell it would be so lonely......

I’m thinking of heading up to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia but that wouldn’t be until the middle of June. Google give a shortest distance of 1600 miles to Tallin, but I never do shortest distances! Probably 3 weeks away.

As for doing the big trips on your own, very often it’s the best way. Unless you have a riding buddy in whom you are fully confident and whose riding mirrors yours, it can become quite frustrating. As for being on your own, as a motorcyclist every other biker you meet on the way is like your best friend.

I’ll probably do something shorter around Easter time, maybe Portugal again or Spain.....somewhere warm. I’ll let you know.

Anyway, we can talk when we meet next Saturday.

I was looking at southern Spain to start with as my sister has a house down there which could be “base camp” for a week or looking at alps trip

I would opt for Spain in the first half of the year. The high passes in The alps don’t open until late May/early June.

For Spain, the nice option is the ferry to Bilbao or Santander. Cuts out the long slog through France.
