I'm wondering If anyone has experience wiring a radar detector and mounting? I have a Valentine One that I'd like to use on long trips.

I have installed an Adaptiv Technologies TPX which designed for motorcycle use so it was easy to mount on my right bar. I ran the wires under the tank cover and seat back to the rear accessory socket and connected with a powerlet male plug.

I'm look it up on the website. Since I've only trusted my valentine one, do you know how effective this is? Have you had it long? Durability? Could you post any pics?

Here are some pics I just shot and a correction. While taken the pictures I rembered that I connected the power wires to the built in GPS wiring, not the rear acc. You can see the extra connectors on the left side for audio, remote led and lazer. The remote led is mounted on my other road bike. I also have a HARD (Headsup Alert Radar Detector?) attached to my helmet that communicates with the TPX wirelessly. I have used the TPX on a couple of long trips and have gotten no tickets. I think it is quite effective in terms of range. I don't think it is as sophisticated as a Valentine when it come to false alarms. The TPX does get some false alarms.
