Ohhh .. that is really a rare creature. Get a photo of one and it probably would get posted in National Geographic ... probably a lecture with the Royal Society in London too. Good Hunting!

The best Haggis are the ones that have 2 legs shorter than the other 2 because they graze on the side of the the west coast mountains.....

7 of us did a trip to the NC500 regions on 19th July for 4 days total.
First day we got to Oban via a ferry over to Bute from Wemyss bay. Absolutely stunning weather and roads.
Day 2 we got to Ullapool via Plockton etc. Again dry and stunning roads
Day 3 rode down to Moffat via Inverness and along the old Military road which is the South side of loch Ness. Much quieter than the A82 tourist route. Well recommended and has stunning high level views down to the Loch Ness.
Day 4 Moffat to Home via A6 Shap.

Just a shame we couldn't do the full NC500 route. I guess you need at least a full week to cover all of it without rushing.

Enjoy !!😎

Worth doing and we have done it several times (we live 100 miles from Inverness) before it was a thing as others have said. Used to be fairly quiet. Now it borders on madness with eg people collecting hire cars in Inverness and  given a start time to see how fast they can do it. Motorhome alley in July August avoid. IMHO early May is best time as still snow about on the mountains for scenic effect and usually too early for midgies  :028:
