    Get chain adjustment carried out by main dealer wtf? this is in owners manual.
    No way thinks I.
    being my first Ducati problem #1 what's the crack with this stupid bi-hex nut.
    out with callipers 38mm AF. mmmmm prices online stupid.
    Lateral thinking mode engaged - 38.1mm equals 1.1/2"
    quick Google reveals new Elora socket 1/2" drive £8.50 - sorted!

    I'll post the link when it's arrived and I've had chance to check it works OK. Theory and practice sometimes don't match up.
    I'm off towards Morocco next month so am aiming to post a "travellers tour guide". I'm now up to 670 miles and can confirm that contrary to popular belief Ducati's do work in the cold and wet weather.

    Must get my eyes tested. Ordered 1.5" Elora socket which still hasn't arrived thought i'd measured 38mm with my calipers. Back at the other house this weekend and scrobbled about in my tool box.
    Found a Laser Tools 36mm Bi-Hex Impact 1/2" drive socket which fits a treat. Also fits under rear seat along with small first aid kit and tin of Shell Chain wax.  I have one of those expanding car wheel nut bars to fit the socket and it fits in pannier or tank bag OK.

    I think its the nut on the single sided swing arm that's a bugger to undo - 200ft lb or thereabouts I believe.
    This one is around 150 ft lb (to be confirmed) always use a breaker bar or a local garage just to loosen it off, shouldn't be a problem.
    As long as you have the socket with you most garages will oblige if youre just adjusting the chain.
