Hello folks - been meaning to update you on a couple of minor issues that were once gain kindly dealt with by the kind folks at Laguna Performance in Ashford. I had an annoying screen rattle around 2,000 revs, which after a couplf of visits and persistance on my part, lead to the bush at the base of the screen stem being replaced by Ducati - problem solved. You can tell if yours may need attention by grasping the bottom edge of the front screen (just above the "beak") and giving it a good wiggle around - there should be no movement/play. Part of what convinced the dealer was doing this test on their own bikes vs mine.
Secondly, after a ride, my bike would often give off a strong smell of petrol when back in an enclosed garage. I'm not talking about the normal hot bike / exhaust remnant smell, but fairly strong petrol smell. This shouldn't happen on a Euro 4 bike with a fuel cannister to contain fuel evaporating from the tank. My last bike was a Tracer 900 (also Euro 4) and that never smelt of anything after a ride so I knew something was amiss. Once again, Laguna Ashford, together with Ducati were on the case, and while not entirely sure what the cause was, everyone agreed the petrol smell was not right. The fuel tank was removed, and breathers checked for correct orientation/connection, all seemed OK. The only thing they found was that one of the breathers had a rather torturous tight route which was duly corrected - this appears to have solved the issue.
Just thought I would share as the dealer/Ducati warranty service has been good and in case others have noticed similar issues.
