Oil Consumption

Seems to consume a lot of oil.  I don't see much else on the forum about this.

at 5,500 miles i've added my 3rd Quart in addition to the 1,000 mile oil change.  so, a quart every 1200 miles or so.

Does anyone have a similar experience?  Should I be concerned?

It doesn't blow any smoke, So I don't think it is rings or anything major.

Maybe this is how they figure 9,000 miles between oil changes, at this rate it will have new oil every 9,000 miles weather it needs an oil change or not.

blaks, there has been some discussion about this topic from a couple of forum members  - the result seemed to be a recommendation in a change of oil away from the Ducati recommended Shell product if I remember rightly . For me I stick with Shell and it is changed on an annual service - never used a drop in 9000 miles - perhaps i need to use Sport mode more !

Dealer here put Motul 300V in it, and that is what I have been adding.  Supposedly good oil. Touring mode for me, but I keep my wrist pinned.
