Another recruit from BMW

Hi folks.

2 days into Ducati ownership having just traded my F700GS for a 2017 Multi.

So far, loving the experience, in particular the sound and getting some very good info from the forum.

Should be better acquainted in the next few days as I'm off on a  3 day tour of Scotland.

I never quite "got" the F700GS. I think the Multi will feel like it's on steroids in comparison

  'steroids' indeed.
I've had 3 x 1200 GSes (not to mention previous bikes) and the 950S blows it away. You'll have a blast.

Weather is looking good up here in Scotland so you should be in luck. This is a great time of the year to visit.

I dared to try the long term weather forecast when I picked next week in Scotland so I'm hopeful there'll be at couple of decent days in there.

As to the F700GS - I had it 3 years as my first bike, having returned to 2 wheels after a 30 year absence. Absolutely right that the Ducati blows it away by some margin. That said, the BMW served its purpose well and was a good re-introduction but certainly a bit 'vanilla' and was fairly quickly outgrown.

Just back from Scotland and had a great time - weather was unbelievable and the bike was fantastic.*

*(Fuel tank sensor aside - the dealer is on the case tomorrow on that one).

Ran out of superlatives for the scenery and road conditions and virtually no traffic anywhere, apart from being buzzed by a Chinook.
