It is a big country with lots of great places to ride all over. Tell us where are you located and I will post what I know if you are near any of them.

    Thanks for jumping in.
Out of New Jersey have over 100k miles on motorcycles.  What I am trying to do is meet other 950 owners in USA and gather info from others on best places to ride in USA.   Share our 950 experiences, best rides, bike pictures, how far you go, longest day on the road, what ever but in USA.
I have been places where you can ride for hours on awesome roads with no police presence, most of which has been out of this country.
It has to exist here in USA, but where?
Nice roads, mountains to valleys, desert what ever it is, I want to know about it.
Where is motorcycle heaven in America? :084:

I am in NH seacoast. Have ridden pretty much all over New England, not in RI though. Lots of great riding from Maine to northern NH, western MA and VT. Vermont really does have some spectacular roads!  I get alot of my maps from the NewEngland riders FB page, really good source for where to ride.

This is a pic from Ride to the Sky, Mt Washington auto rd back in June.

I am in Louisiana not very familiar with the New england area though did make aride a few years back through New York, Vermont New Hampshire and the coast of Maine. Then down the Atlantic coast. This was with the wife on board and more of a sight seeing trip than sport ride. We did ride the Kancamagus Highway in NH but the Mt Washington road was closed due to fog

The best roads for us southerners are in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missouri, the Hill Country and Big Bend in Texas and the Smokie Mmountain in NC and TN.
I think the best roads closer to you would be in Virginia and West Virginia. You might be interested in a riding club I belong to. We have chapter in every state and get together several time a year to ride the best routes planned by the local experts in the different areas. http://ridemsta.com/srblog/ Check it out!

Very cool, will check it out.
I am interested in your area.  I do not need to ride in my area.  Been there.
Let me know about your area.  I am looking to plan some rides.  Mostly 1 week at a time, maybe 2 weeks.
    Most extreme is always welcome.
    Very helpful
    Thanks

    Colorado.
Wide open mountain valleys with twist's, mountain passes, or open flatland. We have it all.

    David,
What would you rate best route in Colorado?

    Lather,
I have not done any of your suggestions yet.  Blueridge Parkway and Dragon are on my list.
Looks like I could burn up a week getting there and back with your additions.
    Will map it out.
    Thanks.
