I am planning a Track day weekend.  Here in the USA the tracks all require a special coolant.  Has anyone done the coolant change for track day?  How difficult to do, how much time to allow, whats needed?
Wassers you have some track time, have you had to do this.?

    Hi ajy1w.

My track day on my Mutley was at Silverstone and luckily there was no requirement to change anything.

Only thing they recommended was to reduce the tyre pressures by a few pounds and tape up the rear view mirrors to stop you using them to check who is behind you so you only focus on looking forward and getting the racing line correct.

Hope you have a safe and fun track day.
Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

Interesting comment about rear view mirrors. I had a blast round the Nurburgring and after turning in on one occasion and finding an orange Porsche 911 trying to nudge me out of the way, I spent the rest of the session looking in my mirrors, which kind of ruined the experience somewhat (although I did survive unscathed)  :015:
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

This is interesting; never heard of that in the UK.

    How do they check it?

Called my dealer today and asked about.   They said this only applies to certain races and bikes.  The standard track day for classes does not require changing out your coolant.   On the website for the two tracks in my area both have this listed in bike prep,  with also having your oil plug wired on.
    Mystery solved.
