Hello
Looking for a bit of advice from those who know.
Group of 3 who do an annual bike trip for about 7 days - can’t be much more due to families etc.
Over the years we have done Europe, mostly Germany travelling down from Ijmuiden ( we are from Scotland)
We are getting a bit tired doing the same routes and places in Germany/ Belgium/ France etc - we did do Spain one year which was great (Picos de europa) but due to the distances involved getting there it made it a bit longer a trip than usual and not really an option this year.
Just wondering if northern Germany has much to offer ion the way of decent roads etc or even Denmark- although again we have heard horror stories about how expensive Denmark is and having a few beers etc at night is part of our holiday. This may be not entirely correct but due to this we never considered it before but it would certainly be something new. We did the west coast of Ireland last year and before we went we had information saying that it would be 9 Euro for a pint and this was not the case , although Denmark does appear to have a high cost of living.
So, has anyone got any recommendations involving heading North /East from Ijmuiden instead of heading to Black Forest etc. We just fancy a change but Northern Germany is a bit of an unknown to us and Denmark is somewhere we haven’t researched at all. We usually try and do 200-300 miles a day .
As I say, 7 days in total so if any can offer any advice on either it would be appreciated.
Cheers
