     Trying these new Michelins (Anakee Adventure) this time, we'll see. They were $50 (USD) cheaper than the Pirelli's. I do about 20% dirt riding, but not serious off-roading.
     I will update once I have a few miles on them.

    Well, here is my first time at a review;
     The Anakee Adventures have a pretty firm feel. Solid over bumps, they take a little more effort to turn in, but otherwise have a good grip ( just take some getting used to I am presuming). They are a little noisy under 40 mph (65 kph), but really quiet down in a hurry as the speed goes up. Highway speeds are rock solid and they do extremely well on wet roads.
     Off road, on rough gravel roads in enduro mode, much better than the Pirelli's. They are confidence builders. They are truly an 80/20 tire and I would not recommend them if you do not go off highway at all. But, if like me you do 10/20 % light off roading such as fire and gravel roads I would say you made a great choice.

    Thanks David for the update!  Also, if you are into off roading, Chaparral Motorsports just completed a huge dual sport, adv tire comparison, broken down to 50/50, 80/20, then performance, longevity, and cost.  Very, very thorough and took months to perform.  I appreciated it so much I bought the Pirelli scorpion rally radial (non STR) for my Desert Sled from them.
