Heated grips

Hello everyone,
I have heated grips functionality on my 2019 MS 950S but they are not activated on the bike unless you have the touring package....I have upgraded the bike to a touring package (Paniers, center stand), but I wonder what it takes to activate the heated grips?. The system is installed I think since the button to activate the heat is there but does not work. Anyone of you has done that recently or before? Cost, etc..?

Do you know for sure that you have them installed? I'm asking because the existence of the buton on the handlebar doesn't mean that you have them installed. This it's available also for the fog lights.
The thing it's that the dealer must activate them.

You can check by looking for the fire leaving from the grips. And the heated ones looks different from the standard ones. 

The touring pack include the heated grips, which means that maybe the dealer didn't activitate them.

I.E. , there will be a cable coming off the grips(moves with the throttle opening) if heated grips are fitted..

Ok Guys, Not sure in your own currency but my dealership in Los Angeles quoted me: " it will be about $595 to have the grips installed and programmed  for your bike"....Really??? I think I can find a GREAT pair of winter gloves for half the price....Any thoughts?

Hmm, I think everyone knows that Ducati is an expensive brand, but I can't imagine how can they charge so much!
You have the touring package, how come you don't have the heated grips already on the bike?

A lot of us (including me) installed Oxford Heated Grips and they are excellent and great value. Ok, so the installation doesn't look as neat as the Ducati heated grips, but they don't cost much and are super hot!

I have ordered the touring pack on my 950s (I collect the bike 2 weeks on Monday ) and the touring pack includes the Ducati heated grips - so it will be interesting to compare them to the Oxford heated grips.

I had the touring package with mine. Although the switch is fitted the grips are different to the standard ones. When I picked the bike up I was given the unused standard grips because they weren't needed.

I did not buy the touring package on mine just the sports package. I installed  the paniers and center stand myself  that's why I don't have the heated grips functional. I don't think I will install them , after finding out the cost ($595 US dollars). I live in southern California when its only cold for a couple month (Never bellow freezing) so I just need to find a nice, warm pair of winter gloves for those two month...By the way if you happen to own one and they keep your finger tips warm let me know...Cheers guys and thanks so much for all your ideas..SAFE riding...

Ok, I don't know how come I understant that you have the touring package.
I read many times only good reviews about the Oxford heated grips, but as you said, If you have good weather a smart choice it's a good pair of gloves.
Actually I am in search of ones, the first for me, so zero experince here. But depend of you buget first. I have tried Klim Vanguard GTX, expensive, but feel extremly nice în your hand. Probably I will buy from Clover, MX-04 WP it's the model that I've tried and like very much. I ride in not so good weather maybe 2-3 months per year.
Bear in mind, the heated grips keep's your hand worm only in palm, the other side/exterior let say it's exposed to the weather. So a combination of handguards, heated grips and good gloves will be the perfect option on bad or extremly bad weather.
