Hey Team Ducastisti!
I would love to hear opinions on the 950 vs the 1260 or even the slightly older 1200. Fire away!

Many thanks Mac. It is a great review. Nobody has yet done one on the 950S in Oz- maybe I should be the first!

That's the same review I watched which convinced me to buy the bike. I absolutely love the bike. I had a Hyperstrada 939 before and fell in love with the motor, wasn't a fan of the actual bike for my purposes. So when shopping for a new bike I wanted that motor and the MTS 950s was it. Only thing i'm working on changing is the seat. It really is a torture device, especially the low one that I use. I'm buying an extra seat that I will attempt to modify myself and add a gel pad or something. All around incredible bike!!!

Kibo, I did exactly that, had the low seat and the original. Had the original seat sculpted to take the rear slope out of the seat as much as the base would allow. Also got the guy to try to shape the padding to make it as close to the "Sargent" seat design i.e. a sort of wider "tractor" seat shape..
This was an improvement and did solve the slide forward slope so now happy with it until maybe Sargent develop a padding / cover for the 950S

Hey you Ducatisti. Thanks for your responses. I read with interest that you are suffering from “monkey butt” as I am on my 950s and really, the sloping seat must be one of the bike’s only problems that I have encountered. Has anyone invested in the Ducati higher seat and if it would give That bit of reshaping? Sounds to me that a visit to the upholsterer might be the answer!
Please keep us informed about how the Sargent company solves the problem.
    Shiny side up always!
