    Tyre Change Locations

Using my bike to get to and from the shops is the most preferable mode of transport and keeps moral up. I live in the middle of nowhere so getting out is more essential for me. However, I am stuck with very low tread on the front. Can anyone suggest a tyre fitters around Cirencester (Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire) that may be able to help. Excluding Ducati main dealer (got a quote from main dealer that was double the price of local tyre fitter). Only reason being is that the local tyre fitter has none in stock and unsure of when the next delivery will be. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Pegasus  - passed through Bibury earlier today - I did look out for a red Mutley but no sign of you

I use Mantra Motorcycles in Kingsholm Gloucester - bit of a one man band but Ade does provide a very good service . You do have to order the tyres yourself  for delivery to him though

If you still have the originals on the bike they should be good for at least 7k (at least that's what the consensus on the forum seems to be)

Was out the other way towards Cheltenham today. Just clicked over 10k today.
I can only assume the front is the original tyre then. I'll give your guy a call in the morning. Appreciate it.

Great time to be out  - sunshine and empty dry roads

He has a little garage right next to the Gloucester Rugby Club ground - customers speak highly of him - forget what he charged for the fitting but I thought it was OK and he knows his stuff

For future reference if you want work done and not by a main dealer then there is also a private Ducati mechanic based in Cheltenham - again a bit of a one man band and difficult to get hold of I am informed . I have not used him but he is Tim Hyett and the operation is called Moto-Vation

    7-10k per tyre I WISH......

    I only get 3 1/2 - 4k out of a back tyre & 2 fronts to 1 back
If I had a second brain cell it would be so lonely......

Blimey BabyD. You must be riding it like you stole it every time.  :745: I've just clocked 3K since i've had it, and it's just broke is 10K total.
Thanks for your suggestions. I have been suggested somewhere only 15 mins from me which is ideal with the current lockdown. And they're able to sort me out next week. Had to pop out to put post a letter and grab some shopping the other day. Luckily, a road was closed on route which meant I could spend a little more time on the windy back roads. Riding a lot more leisurely now to reduce risk, but still loving this bike!!  :001:  :305: :305:
