    Taller Screen - 2019 950S

    Hey
I just bought a new 2019 950S in red - arrived in Jan after a 6 month wait!
I'm 6'3" and need a taller (or much shorter?) screen as the buffeting on standard screen is shocking

I've looked at Puig screens but they only say the screen fit up to / including 2018 models.
The fit looks the same for 2019 but has anyone tried?

    Thanks
    Steve

Yes, I fitted a Puig screen and an MRA "blade" on top(also some screen spacers) , find it's ok height wise, but there is nothing you can do to "widen" the screen due to handlebars touching and there is still some buffeting round the sides..
Mind you, in warmer climates, that may be a good thing..

    Hi Bigcalm and welcome!

I've chnaged the standard screen with the Touring one from Ducati. It is way better, but not I wanted to be.

If I had to choose again I will pick the one from Touratech. I like the shape of it and I think it is the highest screen from the market. Depending on what to do with you bike (if you are thinking it's too tall) you will have the standard one to replace whenever you want :). On the Touratech site dos not specify that will fit to the S model, but 100% will work because nothing has changed on the bike regarding the windscreen area, or you can send them an email.

    Great, thank you

I saw that thread, but many related to pre 2019 models
From what I can see it seems that the fixings are the same for 2019 so I should be good to go

    Thanks again
    Steve

What is it about the Ducati Touring screen that you don't like? Is it just not tall enough for you?

Out of interest, how tall are you anyway?

I have been thinking about getting the Ducati Touring screen.

I am 5,8 feet. Don't get me wrong, it's a good choice. For me maybe I prefer a bit taller one, but not much. I still feel some wind noise in the top of the helmet, but it is something that I can live with. I am 95% happy with this choice.

Thanks. I'm 5'10" (178cm), so I'm not sure that the Touring would be right for me then.

I think the best way to find the right one is to buy and try for 2-3 months 3 or 4 screens that you think it will work for you. And then resell the remaining ones :)

I've struggled with the amount of wind buffeting.
I went from standard screen to
Standard screen with spacers - more wind deflection
    Puig Touring Screen - bigger
And just this week fitted MRA Sport - smaller

I've yet to test the latest smaller sports screen as can't get out due to CV19

I also ride a naked BMW R9T which is much more comfortable to ride with the smallest of fly screens.
    BTW - I'm 6' 0"
