Daft name but sounds a bit naughty. I haven't yet looked at the price.

Very ugly, but still cheaper than a Termi exhaust

I think it looks cool, and sounds great, but.......I think our standard bike sound is already pretty darn good.  The only problem with a loud exhaust is when you've had enough, where's the volume control??!!  :008:

I'm with you on that ducati_al.

I think you would grow tired of the loud noise eventually, especially during long tours.

But I agree, it does sound great and I like the looks too.

I'd agree with that too. If I was seriously considering it I'd really need to hear a bike with it fitted to judge if it's too loud or not.

I took the Sport option with my bike and have the Termi can fitted. The bike sounds great when you get it going but I'd prefer a bit more of a grumble than I am getting at lower revs. I ran Akra cans on my last two GSes and they sounded great plus I had the option to remove the baffles. However, I don't think that's an option these days with new cans. I've had a look inside the Termi and there's not much scope for messing about.

Has anyone got the Akra on their 950? It look good but is seriously expensive.

I doubt very much that I will be making an exhaust change to my bike but given the lack of riding time it's an interesting thread to explore.

Why bother changing your stock exhaust?  Only an idiot would do that wouldn’t they?

Having had about 20 bikes in my time, I decided to count up how many I kept with a stock exhaust – only 5 (and one of those was a Laverda Jota and if you have ever heard what that sounds like, well no one in their right mind would change that!)  So I Guess that makes me an idiot - think of all that money....  :138:

Anyway, IMO there are 5 reasons to change your exhaust/end can:

    - Sound – better/louder (very subjective – we all have our own preferences and none are wrong)
    - Looks (very subjective – we all have our own preferences and none are wrong)
    - Weight – Anything to make your bike lighter is good.  Eating less pies is cheaper but less fun than a new end can!
    - Power – Unless coupled with a different air filter/box and a re-map, no noticeable gains can be had these days (20 years ago maybe, but not now)
    - Just to make your bike different (very subjective – we all have our own preferences and none are wrong)

So what’s wrong with any of the above reasons – absolutely nothing.  You pays your money (usually a lot of it!), you takes your choice.  The only thing we bikers have in common is that we are all different.  Some of us love sports bikes, some hate them, some love adventure bikes (I hope us on this forum!!) some hate them and so on.    After-market bits of all kinds are the same, including exhausts.  Some love your mods, some will not, but who cares, as long as you love your bike, put together in your way, then that’s fine by me.

What about the multi’s can, well it sounds great when opening her up, but a bit dull otherwise, so I just try and keep accelerating!!  As to the QD can that started this thread, personally I like it but not on the multi.  I think it would be great on a street-fighter though.

Is there a point to this post?  None whatsoever, but whilst we have a bit more time on our hands, I thought I’d put in my two-pennyworth!

I bought Akrapovič (S-D9SO10-HIFF) two weeks ago and it is great! Not too loud, but much better than the original ...  :018:
Moreover, the price was also ok (cca 570 Eur excl. VAT).
