    Metzeler Roadtec 01

I noticed there wasn't a specific topic for this tyre although I know they get mentioned a lot in other threads.
I have had these on my 950S for about 3,000 miles, most of which has been in dry conditions and they have been fantastic, more like a sports tyre than a touring tyre. Yesterday I had my first chance to try them in the wet, very wet in fact and they were scary good, I could hardly feel any difference in grip to dry conditions.
They are leaps and bounds ahead of the OEM scorpions on the road but be warned, they turn your adventure bike into a sports tourer.

    Sounds good.
Although I already think of the 950 as more of a sports tourer than an adventure bike.

These Roadtec 01's have actually been mentioned on this site before somewhere and the consensus of opinion matched your experiences

I tend to agree, hence my choice of tyres, but not everyone does ... one of my favourite forum photos courtesy of Ajy1w

Yes, its buried in the other tyre threads, I fitted them on the recommendation of Wassers and Neilb and they were bang on.

Great picture and good on him.
I'd go further in that while I think that the 950 is a good looking bike (nicer even than the bigger Multis). I would prefer to see a design that moves away from the Adventure bike formula and checklist of  design features.
There aren't really any old school sports tourers anymore which is a bit of a shame.

That's a bummer as I've already booked and paid. Boo.

But you claim the £40 after you’ve had the tyres fitted.
