    Thick soled boots

I currently have a pair of track style boots with a thin sole.
When sat on the bike I am on the balls of my feet and would prefer to flat feet when stopped.
Looking at the adventure style boots they appear to have reasonably thick soles which I feel would help.
Anyone got any suggestions as to which boot would be best. (Not the Daytonas as they offer little in support/protection for the price)

Gary, I bought a pair of Forma Adventure boots about 5 years ago - they are very reasonably prices - fit like slippers on and off the bike and are waterproof (once rode 120 motorway miles in a deluge and my feet stayed dry). Can't recommend them highly enough. I went for the low type as I found them much better to walk about in than the taller variety

Another vote for the Forma Adventure low boots from me. Comfortable on and off the bike. Feel very secure when on.

Thanks, I had seen the Forma boots and was already leaning a bit towards them.  Just wondering if they will go inside my leathers ( my current XCR s speed do)

I wanted thick soles too as I'm a bit of a short-arse.  I went for RST Adventure 2.  Waterproof and comfy.  A bit tight to get the velcro to stretch over leather jeans, but good boots.  Doubt they would go inside leather jeans, but they do normal ones (armoured jeans of course!)

FYI I'm a 29 inch inside leg and with these boots AND the lower seat I can just touch the ground flat-footed .... just!

Sorry don’t wear leathers so can’t answer that one but I suppose it depends on the leathers, certainly wouldn’t fit under the race type ones. I can say they fit inside my textiles and Bullit jeans. I did order a size bigger than normal which are perfect. I used their size guide to get correct fit. https://www.formaboots.com.au/pages/sizing

I use the Sidi Adventure Gore Tex 2 boots and they are amazing. They cost a pretty penny, you get your monies worth. They offer tons of support and protection, similar to motocross boots protection wise.  These are really for long journeys or extended trips with some off road. I would not use these for a daily commute. They do take a bit to get in and out of due to the ski boot style binding clips and such. I've ridden all day in driving florida summer rain and my feet are always dry.

I like falco boots, particularly the Ranger which I am wearing currrently. Waterproof but just over the ankle. Dry warm feet. I dont tuck trousers in because that allows water an effective drainpipe to fill my boots from the inside
