Crash bars question 🙄

Own a ‘17 950 and have been offered a set of SW-Motech bars that are currently fitted to a Pikes Peak.
I’ve looked on the SW site and they don’t appear to offer a set for the 950 so, has anyone fitted SW bars and does anyone know if they are just the same as those for the 1200s and the Pikes Peak variant ?

Thanks for that, these weren’t being shown when o did a search only 1200 types.
Have now looked a various SW sources and appear they may fit - I’m assuming all MSs use the same frame ?
That’ll be my next info request 😉

Basicaly yes. I think some older 1200 have some differences....but I am not sure.
Try to find the exact model / part no from the Pikes Peak bars and check if it fits.

I don't think the 1200 bars will fit a 950. Certainly not if the 1200 is <2015.

On the 2015+ there could be a chance, but I'd double check if the manufacturer item # is the same for the 1260 and the 950.

Have come across a number of images and appear to be the same bars - so at the offer price am going to take a punt.
Once tried I’ll post outcome for others future reference 👍🏻

i just bought new sw motech crash bars . they were sold as 950/1260 crash bars. in fact 950 and 1260 are so similar that i mostly look at 1260 manuals to fix stuff from engine forward.

Would anyone know if the SW Motech crash bars will work with a Touratech skid plate bracket?

They will, but you will need to get longer bolts. approx. 1 inch longer bolts and it should all go together.
