    Time to say good bye

I am now moving on from Ducati after 10k miles of fun. I will miss the exhaust howl at 6000 revs. I have been seduced by the BMW GS 1250, and the £1000 BMW were prepared to add to the value of the trade in.
I was quite shocked put the BM into Dynamic pro mode and the acceleration is blistering. The reason for the change is my knee is shot and the BM so much more comfortable.
I would like to say this has been the best forum I have ever joined and say thankyou to you all for the help you have given over the past two and a half years. I wish you all the best and many happy years of biking.
I have put on e bay sat nav holder, standard front foot pegs, standard non heated hbar grips comfort seat, and set standard levers if any on is interested

Hi Resovoir - I too departed Multi 950 land in the middle of this year, although I would still have another one - certainly a 950S.  I fully agree this is a cracking forum - a great bunch of folks.  The GS forums seem to be full of....well...knobs  :745: - I hardly frequent them and still meet up occasionally with chaps from here.  I too went for a BMW, although I went for a 3 yr old R1200GS - agree it's a cracking bike, even if the Mutley still looks better....

All the best and we'll pray for your bank account (and your knees while we're at it..)!  Mind your shins on those two leg warmers poking out each side too - I just seem to get rid of my bruises only to bash them again!

All the best, but no need to give up on the forum - the lads will happily mod your forum name to reflect your new ownership status (!), and will mostly still speak to you!

Sad to see you go  resovoir!

Enjoy the other bike (I can't bring myself to mention the name of it) and be safe!

    Best regards,

Thanks for all the "kind" words, just thought at 71 yrs I should be getting a little luxury. I must admit I will miss the character of the Ducati it was what biking is all about. Still if I want raw motorcycling still have '76 Bonneville and '67 T21. That is when bikers were men.
