Hello from Edinburgh

Hi,
Here's hoping you have all head the best Xmas possible under the circumstances.
Just thought I would pop in and introduce myself: Me and the wife moved up to Edinburgh from Manchester about 7 days before the first lockdown back in spring......and that's been pretty much it to be honest...which is kinda sad to admit.
I purchased a new 950S at the end of 2019 from DMC Moto in Preston and finally managed to get my hands on it around June. What little riding I have done on it before we got sent back into hibernation was a complete blast, really enjoyed it and I'm sure I'm not the only one to be looking forward to normality returning and getting out on the road again.
I've owned just about every BMW GS variant thats been made during the last 15 years and also a Ducati Monster and a Scrambler...all fine rides. It's great to still be finding bikes that take you in a new direction and I'm definately giving the 950S the big thumbs-up.
One thing that is worth mentioning, given the fact I'm new to the Scottish lowlands is that I've been blown away by the quality of the riding in the Borders region. I normally just used to blast past the Borders and head north to the Highlands.....mmm....I've kinda missed a trick here....this region is definately worth a visit.
Keep safe folks and here's hoping 2021 sees us all in a much safer, normal and relaxed world.
