    What size are the panniers?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I am trying to find out what size the panniers are. The size is not given on the Ducati configuration site (https://configurator.ducati.com/bikes/ww/en/multistrada/multistrada-950-s/3353334?cid=0N1QRVPNXM41NVQ) and I don't see the point in paying a grand for the touring kit if I am going to have to pay another grand replacing the panniers with a Givi set. That is money that could be spent on beer or touring! SWMBO is able to pack for a week away in a small bag, but she really, really doesn't like to.

Your question is if the panniers worth buying and if it's big enough for packing your stuff for a few days of travel let say?
If you want to buy the travel kit I don't see the point of replacing the paniers with another set (oem are from Givi).  I don't think you can find a set of panniers with more capacity, except the aluminum ones.

Think like this: in the left pannier you can keep two helmets and some stuff and in the right one only one helmet and more stuff (because of the  exhaust).

huh? I can only fit one helmet into the left pannier and its the OEM for the 950S.
The right pannier cannot fit any helmet...

For future reference. This link has them as 26 and 30 liters https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/accessories/ACC010893 and compatible with mainstream Multistradas including the 950 and 950S.
The Enduro models get https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/accessories/ACC010638 which are also 26 and 30 but don't seem to be compatible with other multistradas.
New panniers for the V4 are 25 and 35 https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/accessories/ACC010893 for the Enduro models.

I would have thought 26 and 30 is a little on the small side for two up touring. What are your experiences?

If you are asking me, the two panniers, top box and the small tank bag that I have it's enough for me and my girlfriend, for a two weeks trip.  Of course this is for my case, but in my opinion it's more than ok. It depends very much on what you want to do with the bike, what kind of trips, where etc.
I like very much the panniers and the top box, it's a must have if you are planning some trips...there are many reasons...I negotiated them and received them for free :002:

The panniers are ok for a short trip solo in my opinion, I bought a 50ltr dry roll bag that I strap across the rear seat if a longer trip. I had a BMW R1200GS previously with full box luggage and I don’t feel in any way challenged with the space available on my MS. Riding two up however I think you would need to consider the 3 aluminium type boxes as an alternative to the moulded Ducati panniers.

I do exactly the same, a roll top bag on the rear seat. I have done a lot of  7-14 day trips with no issues.
However, I do trip solo riding.

I tend to take way to much stuff when touring, I added a 40litre dry bag, brilliant bit of kit

I have done 3 different 14 day trips with my wife two up.  With the stock side panniers and a gobi top case which is smaller then Ducati top case.  If you pack well it should be enough for two.  It has worked very good for us.  Have used the Ducati top case teice on trips and its very big lots of room.  But I changed my top case to Gobi.  Wife pictured > is small but brings a lot.  She gets the side cases I get the top case.   But I also get to drive so I travel light.  :001:
