    Suspension Service

    Hi folks,
After wiping up oil from a fork leg, i think it may be time i sent them off for a well deserved service. Contacted Ducati and low and behold, they are asking double the price of a regulars specialist at well over £300+. Contacted a few specialist service businesses and they tend to be round £150.

My question is, is there anyone out there who has had the forks serviced and could recommend a business.

Also, what size tool do i need to get the front wheel axle off?? Any tips to get the forks out are greatly welcome!  :028:

    Cheers

    Pegasus,

Not sure if it helps in any way but there is an independent Ducati specialist in Cheltenham, Tim Hyett, trading as Moto-Vation   :http://www.moto-vationracing.uk/
I haven't used him but people I have spoken to rate him but say be difficult to communicate with as he is a bit of a one man band

Fork leakage ?-  not good and the first i have heard of that problem on The Forum - how many miles has the bike got on it now ?

A nice compact piece of kit for the both front and rear wheel nuts is this one  (expensive but it is good quality and very handy when touring)

Thanks. Appreciate the recommendation. TW Suspension has caught my eye previously with their background and also only £30 for a full fork set up if i make a trip up there. I think i got the bike dialled in, but would be great to get it professionally looked into. See how far off i am. But that's another option.

Yer, the fork seal i think is leaking and not sure how much oil i would still have in it, but doesn't help being upside down forks, so the oil continues to run seep out. Bike got 14k on the clocks i think. The other seal was sorted under warranty when i bought the bike. Little frustrating they didn't do both seals at the same time.

    Cheers

Teut at TW Suspension is a great guy. Used him several times and you won’t go wrong using him. Fair way to travel but if you are removing them yourself you could courier them to him.
