    Hi all
For those of you who use tankbag with tanklock system, do you use the security strap at the front ? If so, where do you route it ?

personally I don't use that strap and never had a problem - I just double check its clicked in place correctly when putting it on

Thanks - was hoping that was the case as the strap seems to hamper the convenience, which was the point of the tanklock

Same here, no strap and I have not had problems. I have used tank locks on my last 3 bikes.

I don't use a strap either, however... I have had the bag fall off on one occasion, shortly after fuelling up.

Looking back, I don't think I fully closed the petrol cap, so it was sitting slightly proud (although it did lock ok using the key). The bag did seem to locate ok, but I wasn't listening out for it clicking into place as I had already started up the bike. I only noticed the bag was missing after riding about 5 miles!  :005:

I quickly retraced my steps and found it at the side of the road, but in a poor state - so ended up having to buy another one (and got the updated lockable version).

So my tip is.... just check you have fully closed the fuel cap after fuelling up!

I still don't bother using the strap and have used the tank bag hundreds of times since without issue.

Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

I have never used a strap and never a problem while riding. I HAVE left the bag sitting on the fuel pump a few time after filling my tank :187:
We're lost but we're making great time!
