    Hello World!

Proud (ALMOST) new owner of a leftover 2020 Muti 950 S SW.  Deposit is down, heated grips are being installed, insurance is in place...  Bike is 500 miles away.   Trying to decide if I am going to go pick up and trailer home, or pay for delivery.  Hope to have the bike in the garage by Saturday night.  Excited to be a part of the community!

I'm down to the last pesky detail... extended warranty.   For those that decided to purchase it... did you negotiate the price down?

For posterity, I was quoted 36/48/60/72/84 Months with unlimited miles for $560/690/790/850/1,080 respectively.

Past few rigs:  2011 HD Softtail Slim, 2009 Triumph Speed Triple, 2009 Husqvarna TXC 450

What sort of miles do you do? The more you ride, the more value the extended warranty has.

Hi DieselDork, I am in a similar situation as yours. Right down the the bike, and trailering.  I am picking mine up from MO. next weekend, 300 miles each way. I decided to trailer it since Uhaul is so cheap (their motorcycle trailers are like $15 / day?!) I also picked up the 8yr Ducati Red plan. At 9 yrs total coverage w/o deductible.... I figure it'll pay for itself if I put some miles on the thing. Seemed cheaper to me compared even to the Jap bikes' versions

Did the warranty prices you were quoted fall in line with the ones I posted?  Happen to negotiate them down any, or did it cost whatever the quoted you?  (If you don't mind my asking).  Even if not for me, perhaps this discussion will help others.

They quoted exactly  the same as what you listed. I tried to negotiate but they wouldn't budge. I wasn't too worried about it, since they made me a decent deal on my bike.  What baffles me is that the Europeans get a 4yr base warranty coverage while we  only get 2.  I suppose this implies these new Ducs have better reliability?

My bike was delivered by Moto Europa on Sunday.  Phil promptly dropped the bike while unloading the trailer.  Twisted the bar down, scratched up the windshield, and broke the upper fairing.    Bike has 3 miles.

Based on their proposed solution, I do not recommend buying from or dealing with Moto Europa.

I meant to check in and see how things panned out....man, that is terrible. What was the solution?
