have not tried yet.. but that's my choice for the next tire change (sooon), based on multistrada and s100xr owners opinions.

I fitted a set recently to replace the original tyres at 5700 miles. Views have to be caveated by the fact I am a new rider and so don’t really know what I’m talking about.

I feel more at home on these tyres. I forget about them. The Pirellis would give me occasional moments of vagueness but I haven’t had that yet with the mutants. Could be down to hours in the saddle - I did 5k miles on the Pirellis but only 250 so far on the mutants. But my initial opinion is that I prefer them. I will update once I have more miles.

Sounds like someone in the Dunlop Marketing team is an 'X-Men' fan, naming the tyre Dunlop Mutant  :008:

Bennetts have a good early review of the tyre on You Tube. They seem to like it!

Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

To follow up on my post above.  I've now done about 2500 miles on the Mutants.  My opinion has not changed.  I prefer them to the OEM Pirellis.  Wet and dry they are just not noticeable, though of course I ride much slower in the rain.  I did get a puncture in the rear (screw) after only a few hundred miles, but that happened with the Pirelli also.  Unless anything persuades me otherwise, this will be my go-to tyre when they have worn out.

Wanted to try those new Mutants but I could not get them in Canada at the time, so I went with TKC70. I like them better then the OEM, they give me more confidence on paved/curve roads. I also have a 1km ride on gravel to my place and and the Conti are a huge improvement.
