Garmin 396 Sat Nav wiring question

I would like to tidy-up the install my Garmin 396 on my 950S.  Currently I have it on a handlebar RAM mount with the cabling and 12v-5v power converter zip tied to the handlebar.  It works but it's not tidy.  I am thinking of changing the mount to a central one on the screen adjuster (ala Ducati official part).  I can't figure out where to hide the cabling and converter and get it through up under the screen.  I've taken off the beak and the black plastic trims with the ducati badges which has helped (also connected up to the Sat nav accessory power connector) but not enough.  How do you get the coloured bodywork that sits over the headlights and comes around the sides of the TFT off?  I was wondering if I could get that off I could run the cabling through a hole and down the back of the TFT?  I am hoping this will make it clearer.  Can anyone with a ducati sat nav install advise where the cabling runs?  Apologies if I have missed it but I couldn't see this covered in previous posts of sat nav installs. Many Thx.

    Hi:

I have that exact GPS. For the installation location of the power convertor I used Velcro to attach it to the black plastic moulding. Pictures shows the routing of the power cable too.

    Kind Regards,

Many Thanks for the pics.  Did you manage to get the cable down the side of the left screen slider to get it under the bodywork?

A warning about velcro attachment. I used velcro to secure the same adapter for my Garmin Zumo 395 on my Kawasaki Concours 14, to the plastic air intake tube. After two years of heat cycles the adhesive got soft and let loose. The adapter was just dangling by the wires and I was not aware of it. Eventually it caught me out making a slow 90 degree turn. The adapter jammed my fork and I could not straighten up and the Concours went down, breaking off my mirror.

Now I have the adapter secured with zip ties.
We're lost but we're making great time!
