Anyone had their 48 month service completed yet and if so what sort of cost is involved from a dealer ? From the manual it looks like it includes Timing Belts and Coolant change (got mine coming up shortly)

I just had the 36000 mile service done. It included valve clearance check all fluids changed, air & oil filter and sparkplugs and timing belts changed. Total cost came to 2641.20 usd. This dealer is the only one in Louisiana and they charge way to much. $186 an hour for labor, $50.00 each for sparkplugs $69 for air filter $25 for oil filter. The timimg belts were $95 each.

Iwa warned the 20k desmo service is around 2000 pounds ...that sounds far too spicey, may need to change before 15k

I am considering a change as well but on the other hand I think I may be good with just fluid and filter changes for another 40,000 miles. What is the experience of the long time Ducati owners, do the valves settle in after the 36,000 mile check?

Got mine booked in for a full desmo service at the end of this month. Just clocked over the 18K and want to keep the resale value as good as i can for the next year at least. Been quoted no more than £1k by the Ducati dealer. Got different quotes from different dealers and specialists. It is a lot for a bike that's 8/10 times doesn't need any adjustments but then the bike does get ridden enthusiastically a fair amount of time.

I like this true understatement!! For many “enthusiatically” means full-trottle/quick shifter!! 😜😂😂😂😂

Pegasus - which dealer quoted you the £1k figure ? (just out of interest did you get a quote from Riders at Bristol - I am guessing they would be one of the expensive ones ?)

I didn't know there was a ducati Bristol. Got a quote from Abingdon and luigimoto. Chap at luigi said realistically he can't beat most dealer prices. Assured will be under 1k by Ducati Coventry. They have a great reputation and also used to be where my dad used to have all servicing done on his ST4s.

@leodesmo, I was trying to think of the least heavy handed approach to those meaning. Enthusiastic was I thought best.  :001:
