Short tour to visit my kids and see the Grand Prix of the Americas

I took a short tour to visit my kids at their Universities, and made a side trip to Austin to catch the race.  The Multi took me in comfort about 600 miles round trip for a perfect weekend.  Thought I would share some pics.

Kreiga bags were a good choice, as my ride out was in rain.

The Spoetzl Brewery where Shiner Bock is brewed.  One of my favorites. :821:

Spent a day with my youngest daughter at UTSA in San Antonio.  Go Roadrunners!

Caught up with my oldest daughter in Gruene.  She is wrapping up at Texas State in San Marcos.

I finally got to relax with a Shiner!  Mostly just happy to spend some time with my girls.

The race was awesome.  Nice to see Rossi finally crack the code to get past one of the Hondas at this track.

Took me about a hundred shots to get only a few keepers.  They were hauling the mail exiting turn 2.  I camped out there in a portable chair.  I bought a general admission pass and really enjoyed taking in the view from several locations.

I had not planned on attending the race, but the weather was perfect, and I was only an hour away.  Free bike parking is hard to beat.

So Jealous that you are just 300 miles away from one of the best tracks on the Calendar 😀
    Great photos 👍

Great pics!  I was there last year to see Rossi crash. :005:  Nice to see a proper race from start to finish this time around....

    The bike looks great!

question - which top case and mounting system did you use?  Looking for a similar setup.

    Thanks!

It's a SW-MOTECH rack with a Givi adapter plate.  I wrote some details about it here

Top case is a Givi V47

I arrived about 2 hours before the GP race, so I did not stick around the parking lot long enough to find out.  The Ducati tents sure were pushing the Scrambler in a big way.  I only saw one 950 parked amongst the Ducati Island crowd.
