    Ergonomics on 950s 2020

Hi all, new to the forum and to the brand.
I recently got my 2020 mts950s, so far loving it. But now I will need to adjust it for better ergonomics.

I am 1,74m (5,8) and I feel my arms too outstretched. So, in longer rides, above 250km, I start to feel the pain in the upper back and forearms. Ideally, what I need is the bar closer to me.

So, I would like to hear opinions. I am considering the following options:
    1. Put a conventional riser (such as cnc), maybe cables would not need any adjustments; cheaper.
    2. Put a rod riser (that raises the bar and pulls it  back), but almost certain the cables would need to be re-done, which will be expensive.
    3. Put a lower seat, so arms would tend to feel more relaxed. It’s the opposite to raise the bar.

Based on your experience, please share your thoughts.

    Tks!

Best thing to do is WOT (wide open throttle) to offset the forward lean.  Works like a charm 😂

In seriousness, have you tried adjusting the bars back a little?  I Adjusted mine up a little for standing while riding.

I'm 5'10" and also just adjusted the bars back a little.  Made the difference for me.  Always worth a try first as its no cost.  Then if no good go for another option. Also I have the low seat, but that's just so I can reach the ground!! not about reaching the bars better.  The only thought that I ever had was that the bars are quite wide - great for off-road but I often thought a couple of inches narrower might be better for me - that would help with reach as well I guess.

Welcome.  Riding with arms totally outstretched will cramp you in a hurry.  Try and get bars back where there is some bend in your elbows and use a light grip.  If you are not able to pull bars back far enough you will indeed need new bars or some sort of riser rear offset.  Shouldn't be too hard to find some dirt bike bars that will fit the MTS.  Let us know how you get her sorted.

2" Adjustable Rox Risers work great and add a lot of adjustability.  No need for new cables or brake line.  Mine is a 2017 with cable clutch, so you might want to confirm that there is enough slack in your hydraulic clutch line before ordering.

Does anybody have experience with other handlebars?

I find that for my arms, not only are the V2S bars too wide by about 2" or 50 mm, at least, but the bend is also wrong for me, I want greater sweep.  In the past, on other bikes, I've used LSL bars with much improved comfort, however the grips and controls on my V2S take up about 10" or 250 mm on each side, which is too much for the bars that I have used.

In short, I'm looking for bars that are about 30" (760 mm) wide with 3.75" (95 mm) rise and 7.5" (190 mm) pullback.  Been scanning the 'web without much success so far.

Another ergonomics question:  seat.  I find the V2S seat quite hard and with a forward slope.  I'd like to know what others have done to improve seat comfort.

I got the Ducati High Seat - works much better...
I also added the seat spacers from 1260 to raise the seat higher.

2018. I'm 1,83cm, using chinese CNC and bar back a little bit to not touch the tank when completely turned. Confortable enough. Ah, I had my seat flatten to let me seat up and back a bit.

seat spacer sounds like a good idea , can you say how much mm does it add , and will this also fit the 950s 2020 ? also can you post a link to where you bought the spacers
