Fitting pannier (right exhaust side)

After 3 weeks of ownership I decided to refit the panniers. My question re the side with the exhaust is should the bottom move out when trying to pull on the bottom of the pannier or is it a tight fit? See picture. I am wondering if there should be a rubber piece that the bottom lip should butt up against? Or should it fit behind the metal or as it is on the outside. Hope i've explained clearly!

There should be a rubber on the end of the metal strut.

Hi there, just read your post. If you look at the Ducati Multistrada 1200S DVT in white, the low mileage one, on E Bay, it has the rubber stops on it, will give you some idea of setup.
