More comfortable seat options

I’ve recently purchased a 2018 MST 950.  I’m in search for a more comfortable seat option for long distances.  I’ve seen several threads on the Ducati Comfort seat and Corbin seat but looking for anyone who may have experience with riding on both.

I do a lot of long days / trips.  Typically 250 - 350 miles a day.   3 - 4 day trips.

It looks like the Ducati Comfort seat is around $300 and Corbin is $600.

I think the Comfort seat looks better but if the Corbin is significantly better for long miles, I’d spend the extra money.

Thoughts & input based on your experience.  Thanks!

Anyone have experience with the Sargent and how that compares in comfort vs the other two?

I have a Corbin on mine and do not find it to be all that great. If I had it to do over, I would pass. My two cents only.

I'm gonna fiddle fart around with mine and see if I can fix it.  I have a friend that does boat canvas/upholstery work and maybe we can figure something out.  I think maybe shaving down some of the back of the seat and putting in some denser foam and adding a little to the front of the seat may work.  Gonna try sheepskin first I got from Ikea and see if that helps.  I did sheepskin and beads on my Norge and it made a world of difference.  If that doesn't work, while I'm in Jax I'll head over and see what Sargent can do.  Please keep us posted on what you decide to do and I'll do the same.  Ducati comfort seat @$300 maybe the easiest and cheapest fix, and it not to your liking probably an easy sale. Cheers.

I’ve ordered the Ducati Comfort seat.

We’re doing the Blue Ridge Parkway from tip to tip up & back next month. Averaging ~325 mile days.  ~1,300 miles in 4 days.

I should be able to provide a pretty good update on the Comfort seat after that ride.  I was not looking forward to making that trip on the stock seat.

Went out for a 4hr jaunt today to try out IKEA sheepskin on seat.  It made a marked difference in comfort for my arse.  No sore/burning butt.  I folded the front under to take out downslope and tucked back of sheepskin under seat and snapped in pillion for a secure fit.  This on the comfort seat may be the bees knees for 8-12hr days--at least for me.

Awesome!  Thanks for the update & pics.  I’ll probably pick one of those up, also.
