    Luggage rack options.

Just bought a 2019 950S for touring but the availability of luggage racks for the 950's is disappointing. Don't want to fit a topbox, just carry a tent or stuffsack.

    Choices so far:
       SW Motech Street Rack:  190
       Ducati OEM rack:  180
Hepco & Becker Easy Rack:  163

Neither Givi or Touratech offer anything despite making the OEM topbox rack and OEM luggage rack.
https://dynamicmotorcycleaccessories.com/ do a nice wee rack for only $115 but I don't want the hassle of shipping delays and import tax.

Can anyone suggest any alternatives other than going to overseas suppliers?

    Cheers for now.

Whilst the price for the touring pack is high, loads of practical advantage. My 950 - I added a centre stand, got heated grips fitted and had Givi V47 top box - which was very practical. The 950S has the touring pack and I am impressed by the panniers - the left one big enough to accommodate a full size helmut - and with the two of them I can take loads of stuff.

I have previously posted info in this forum about how I mounted the V47 top box using the universal mounting plate. I have both plate and box if your interested.

    Hi m0mrr,

I should have mentioned that I bought a bike with the touring pack already in place.

Next week should see the fitment of a Givi EA118 tankbag but I feel that the bike wont be "complete" until I get a rack fitted.
I'll post some pictures with the new tankbag but the search for a simple luggage rack continues.

    Thanks for your reply.

I know you said you did not want to have to go overseas, but I have one of these folks short racks on my '17 950 and it is a great piece of kit - https://dynamicmotorcycleaccessories.com/collections/multistrada-950

    Arashi,
I just found your post. The dimensions given for the long and short racks only differ by 1/2inch. That seems very odd.
Can you shed any light on that. The website pics don't help much.
At a guess I would say the long is two inches longer ??
Can you explain how the rack is "clamped" on ?

The rack I have is 12.5 inches wide across the back, 10 inches wide at the front and 10 inches deep. It attaches by clamping to the original Ducati rack with plastic blocks at the front and back along with a bracket and post - each side in the back. It is quite sturdy. I think you can see the plastic blocks, the post and bracket arrangement in the attached photo.

I missed the manufacturer's video showing the installation.
I must say it looks good value for money given the "complexity" of the parts required to fit the rack.

Shad offers side carrier racks (called the 4P) and if you decide to get a top case, they offer a rear rack that bolts to the side carriers. I just installed their rear rack and will eventually get the 4P side carrier racks whenever RevZilla get stock.
