2020 950S suspension sag and preload

Here is what I measured for sag on my 950S.  Not exactly what I expected and the forks are puzzling.  I did those twice and got the same result.  I weigh 190lb, half tank of fuel onboard.  Preload is electronically set from 1-24.

    Rear:
    Preload      Sag
    1.              51%
    12.            42%
    18.            36%
    21.            35%
    24.            33%

Front:  The factory setting on the right fork adjustment was 4-1/2 turns in from fully backed out CCW.  The full range of the adjustment is 10 turns.  The measurements are full turns CW from fully backed out.

    Turns:       Sag
    0.             31%
    4-1/2.       31%
    10            29%

    My takeaways:
1). The rear spring is too soft for my weight.  It can work riding solo but I have to use most of the preload for just me and would have excessive sag with a pillion/luggage.
2). The measured sag at the front is great but I can't seem to affect it with the nut on the right fork for preload adjustment.  I don't understand this???

I take it you are referring to the 950 and not the 950S?

I don't really follow you as I understood the S model to be electronic suspension!

NVM.  I did this with ignition off.  I'm surprised damping matters for a static measurement but apparently the dampers are nearly completely shut without power.  Forks hard as a rock.  I'll re-do next time someone is around to help.

The S has manual preload adjustment on the fork.

Every day is a school day.
I will look at that as I've had to set it as firm in all modes. I'm about the same weight as you.

Here are the numbers re-done with damping energized:

                  Preload.  Sag
    Front.       Min.        34%
    Front.       Max.       28%
    Rear.        Min.        44%
    Rear.        Max.       29%

Front is good.  Rear is good for me alone but with pillion and luggage there isn't enough pre-load adjustment on the OEM spring.  I'm going to run 5 turns in on the forks (mid-point) and 18 on the rear for just me and 24 for everything else.

Shouldn't the ignition be on?  I don't' see how the damping would work with it off - you like to try again but with the ignition on, would be my advice.
