Just joined the forum as I'm collecting my new 950S tomorrow.

    These are my current bikes:

Trading the Scrambler for the 950S, but keeping the GS. I plan to use both fairly equally and in a year or so, I may go back to a single bike. Should be an interesting experiment.

Hi and welcome. It'll be interesting to see how you compare the two after you've got used to the Ducati.

I switched after 14 years of GSes and wish I had done it sooner. The GS is an immensely capable bike for sure, but the Multistrada is so much more engaging and fun for me. It did take me a little while to adapt my riding style though. With the GS it's almost like having an automatic as you can surf the torque in any gear. The Multistrada comes alive when you rev it and use the gears. It's addictive.

    Enjoy!

Thanks. Yes, although the GS and Multistrada are reasonably similar from both a visual and "use" point of view, I believe they are actually two quite different bikes - due to the characteristics of the power delivery. As you say, it's very easy to ride the GS in a lazy way but it's pretty obvious that the Multi is happier a bit higher up the rev band.

I've only covered about 60 miles on the Multi but I am really enjoying the handling and sense of "get up and go".

Anyway, here's the bike. Just waiting for the touring pack to arrive...
