Ducati 950s Oil Additives (Liquid Moly or otherwise) - Anyone Using Anything ?

Gang, good morning (or afternoon).  I am sure this is on somewhere (so I apologize up front) but I did a search "oil additives" and nothing came up but one paragraph with general information and no commentary.  And no links. I try to be careful about redundacy.

Any case, anyone using any type of oil additive in their bikes and would you recommend it ?
    Thanks

I use full synthetic Motul.  There have already been published reports of a long term Mts 950 that was used normally and with the recommended oil and service intervals for I think it was 50k Km.  the engine was disassembled and wear measured less than those on Yamaha and Honda.  Its a very very good engine.

Oil additives are not usually a good thing for motorbikes. Just use quality oil of the appropriate spec and change at or before the scheduled intervals.

Depends what you mean by "better". It is certainly one of the more expensive oils you can buy, but race oil is for racing and if you are not racing, then it is not doing the job it was designed for.

If you ride normally and are changing the oil at or before scheduled service intervals (or every year, which ever is sooner), then any quality branded oil that has no additives will do the job perfectly well.
Better quality oil and oil with greater synth content will last longer before it needs to be changed, but if you are changing it at the service interval anyway, then it is not giving you much extra protection. That said, given how small the price difference is between the cheap stuff and good high quality branded oil when spread out between changes, it is not an area worth trying to save a few pennies on.

Hi! As far as i know, Motul 300V is an excellent oil for race bikes and it works with a determinate heating loops, so it's a very very good oil, but just for weekend track bikes that are going to change the oil every weekend (or everyday). It's not mented for a bike like the MTS. Motul 7100 is the oil I use and no additives at all, just every 2 oil changes I use "Motul Engine Clean" and that's it.
