Akrapovic Slip On for the 950S

    Good morning.

I looked all over the Akrapovic website and could not find anything speciific on new engine mapping or anything of the sort for just the slip on.

Does anyone have experience specifically with the Akrapovic slip on muffler ?   On YouTube and just doing as much research as I could, it sounded great.

Does it require a re - map of any type ?   Or just install and ride normally ?   Would that be harmful to the engine in any way ?

    Thanks much.

You don't need a remap for a slip-on. Most of the sound deadening (and exhaust "restriction") on these bikes is happening down in the catalytic converter. The factory muffler is literally a straight shot through with a little packing material in the walls.
