    Heated Grips not working

I am trying to fix the non-working heated grips on my Multistrada.
They are OEM Ducati and are switched via the menu on the dash. You can get to the "H.G. Off" setting on the menu but when I push the Indicator button to turn them on it disappears and goes to the Riding Mode setting.
I have checked the both plugs going to the grips and can get a resistance reading of approx 7 ohms for both, so it seems that the heating elements are fine.
    Where else to check?

The problem may simply be that the manual is wrong.  To select the heart setting you have to press the menu button up and hold for a few seconds,  the you'll see HG LO and can scroll through the three heat levels,  you the press the indicator button for a few seconds to confirm chosen level. The manual leaves out the first step with the menu button,  at least it does in the English version.

Thanks for the explanation. It all works fine now.
As you say the English version of the manual is not clear on how to do it.
