    Bought the specced '21 Multistrada 950 S

    Hello everyone!

I bought the 2021 Ducati Multistrada 950 S three months ago. I have the bike in GP White which I absolutely love. In fact, Ducati charges a premium on this color (well, they do so in India, at least!). Typical of Ducati! Have spent this time in understanding the bike and its characteristics. I opted for the following accessories at the time of purchase,

    1. Tall seat (I am 6ft tall and wear 34 length jeans). This was an absolute must as the stock seat felt too low and hard. The tall seat gives a superb riding position and amazing, day-long comfort. Love it.

    2. TPMS - so handy! I am manic about tyre inflation and this really soothes my nerves. Ducati specs it in BAR while here we use PSI but that's a minor irritant.

    3. Electronic fuel lid - wanted to make the bike operation completely keyless (not counting seat removal, of course!) so got this as well. Ah, the convenience of it!

In addition, I went for the MRA VarioTouring Windscreen which while better than the stock screen in terms of buffeting and wind noise around the helmet, does not really resolve this irritant. Reams have been written on the subject and I don't wish to add to that. Oh, well.

I am coming off the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (2016) which I had modded heavily (aftermarket suspension, full system exhaust, steering damper, fuel controller, carbon fibre wheels, etc). Thing is, my Multistrada in stock form will happily run circles around the Ninja in every aspect (save for outright acceleration), be it touring comfort, handling in town or the twisties, ease of use, premium feel, features, etc. Astounding. What a bike!

Love the electronics on this bike, the SkyHook suspension is superb. More later.

    Thanks!

    Welcome @karmarider ... great intro.
I'm on a 2017 950 but will hopefully be getting my 2022 V2S this week. I chose the high seat option as well. And the MRA Sports screen

Thanks for the welcome! You must be keyed up for your new V2S. Good luck with a timely delivery. Ducati has lowered the stock seat on the V2 so I think more of the tall riders would be opting for the high seat.

Would like to know your experience with the MRA Sports screen. It’s an endless search, isn’t it, getting the right screen.

Careful - you could start another hundred page conversation at the mention of "what screen" :-)

I went from standard to standard with spacers to MRA Touring to Puig Sports (I mis-remembered which one I bought).

The sport is the smallest and for me is the quietest.
And I'd rather have a bit of quiet high-speed wind flow over me than the roaring noise and buffeting I get from either standard screen or touring screen.

+ 1 on the Puig sport screen - works perfectly for me (I'm 6ft) and it looks great too  :001:
Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

Okay, gents, I’m convinced - will order the Puig Sports screen. It looks the part too, true that! Let the quest for quiet end here.

Thank you for your clear thoughts on the subject  :763:
