    S W Motech Pro Rack

Having been unable to get definitive advice as to whether the SWM Pro Rack would fit the V2 - or not, I went with the logic that it would.
So rack arrived today and was duly fitted.
The instructions for fitting the mounting brackets to both lhs and RHS are crystal clear.
Getting the rack plates to fit the brackets was a wee bit of a faf but fit they did.
The plates mount with "screws" reminiscent of the Dzus type but have substantial "Belville" washers to supply the retention force.
These need a fairly hefty compression to get them to seat --- but I suspect they will ease with use.
The concept is that the unobtrusive mounting brackets stay on the bike and the plates can be removed if no panniers are being carried.

As regards fitting the V2, the brackets all went on no bother; the fixing centres were all spot on.
Whether the fiddling I had getting the rack plates to line up is normal or related to millimetric differences on the V2 I guess I will never know.
They went on and look perfect.

A few pictures would help those of us who don’t know the system to show the benefits

    In the interests of accuracy.
I have had the SW Motech racks on and off a number of times now.

For some reason getting the "rack mounting lugs" to align with  the "mounting lugs on the brackets fitted to the bike" has been somewhat more testing on the exhaust side.

I finally got fed up with the inconvenience and opened out one lug on the RHS rack - which gave the most hassle - and it is now a much easier job.
Note , only the rack lugs can be opened up, the Bracket Lugs need to keep their "keyhole" shape to retain the fixings.
