When do they flash and when do they stop flashing ?

They start blinking when you turn your bike completely off, so your ignition off and your key removed or in case of a S version, the bike completely switched off.
After 24 hrs the blinking stops.

It's the 24hour bit that I cannot find a definitive Ducati statement about.
All I know is , park it up and they flash.
Go back to the garage and remember to look -- always? Off , but who knew when.
Presumably the Why is not to drain the battery over a long? Period.
