    950s quickshifter issues

I've had quickshifter issues which got worse over time.

The symptoms where a jerking, like having 'kangaroo' petrol, when accelerating through certain rev ranges. Eventually, after a bit of trial and error, I found this would disappear completely if I switched off the DQS. At the start it would not happen all of the time but got worse and eventually  happened every ride.
I took the bike to the dealer as it is still under warranty and they agreed there was a problem and could see a fault when changing up, so have ordered me a new quickshifter with no fuss.

Ha ha I've noticed how much I use the quickshifter now it's gone.
Bike fantastic as we all know so this issue is not really spoiling it for me just have to remember to use the clutch all of the time.

My issue has been not using the clutch after 30 years riding  :001:

Now I've discovered how to use the quickshifter, it is a revelation and I'm probably still not using it to its full potential.

It’s a God-send, the QS! The clutch exists only to engage to 1st gear on upshift, rest of the time I use the QS going up or down the ‘box. 1st to 2nd upshift requires some throttle modulation to avoid jerking but the rest of it is brilliant. God-send.

I have had to retrain my brain. I am so used to clutchless shifting on bikes without QS's where pressure on the peddle and a slight easing of the throttle result in a smooth shift that I struggle with the new technique of holding the throttle held steady and tapping the peddle so the QS can do its thing.

The dealer got my replacement quickshifter a few weeks back just took some time to arrange getting it fitted.
Given it a good test out today and the new quickshifter has cured the problem I was having. This one is no better or worse than the original so I'm happy with it.
For me you just need to be accelerating for up changes to be smooth especially 3rd upwards are very smooth, I don't use it from 1st to 2nd.
Downshifts are fine not fully worked it out yet but always throttle closed of course.
