Removal of dash on a 2019 Multistrada 950S

    Hello folks.
Since buying my Multistrada back in November 2021, I've had it apart so many times to remedy various problems.
    1.) Dreaded fuel sender unit.
    2.) Rear Tyre change.
    3.) Fuel pump problem.
and now the dash is playing up.
I have found a company in The Netherlands that can help but they need the dash sent over.
Can anyone with experience of removing the dash help me out?
I have loosened the headlight cluster and stated to remove some of the hex bolts that attach the screen, but I can't work out how to loosen and remove the dash.
    Thanks in advance.

I've not removed the dash myself - but this image from the parts manual might help ?

    What's the issue ?
I'm no expert, but haven't read many stories of people having a dash replaced - unlike the fuel sender issue that many people have had for example.
Is the dash physically damaged or something ?

    Hello Ian?
Thank you for your reply and the diagram.
Sadly I need to remove the screen and bracket that the dash attaches to before I can gain access to the fixings that hold the dash.
    Very tricky thus far.

The problem I'm having with the dash relates to the rev counter illumination.
I can hardly see it in both day time and night.

My bikes out of warrenty and my local dealer in Crawley, want's a fortune for labour and the fault isn't recognised as a recall issue.

I love the bike, but have experienced various issues that don't sit well based on the cost of the bike.

Did you receive any support on the removal?  I too would like to know more about getting to the Windshield Stay removal and replace.  I broke the left ear/windshield guide after the 950 tipped over in the trailer due to a strap failure.
    Cheers Mates,
    G

    Hello G.
I did manage to remove the screen.
You need to remove the black plastic body parts that have "Ducati" written on them as well as the nose cone.
There are various hex bolts to remove that become apparent once the covers are removed.
The ones holding the screen in place become obvious.
It's a little tricky but actually an easy job.

I managed to remove my speedo after removing the screen which was no mean feat.

I used various coloured metal marker pens on the different sized bolts to make the re-assembly easy.

If you have some mechanical experience, you will be ok removing your screen.

    Good luck mate.

:763:  As you've mentioned, exposing what lurks beneath the plastic bits opens access to hard points.
I'm concerned that my attempts to remove some plastics without knowledge of mounting hard points subjects me to the pricey  :005: replacement of perfectly working plastics prior to my attempts  :430: to remove them.

    Cheers Mate,
    G
